No. There is no app to download. You can reach SnapTravel via SMS or Facebook Messenger.
Q2. Am I chatting with a human or a bot?
SnapTravel is a half-bot half-human service. In most cases - the bot will understand you and reply. If there is ambiguity, a SnapTravel ninja agent will take over. Type 'agent' at any time to chat with a human.
Q3. How do I know SnapTravel will find me the best hotel?
We filter thousands of hotels from numerous sources through our advanced machine learning algorithm to present you with the top options. We look at price, location, quality - and overall value.
Q4. Where are the bookings actually made?
We get our hotel inventory directly from hotels as well as through numerous systems and partners - such as expedia, booking.com, Amadeus, and others.
Q5. How is payment processed?
On checkout - you will be presented with a secure booking form. You can pay by credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or Facebook Payments.
Q6. How can you offer such good deals?
We put considerable effort into partnering with the best hotel room inventory sources - in addition to sourcing deals directly from hotels.
Q8. How many recommendations will I get?
We will send over our top 3 recommendations, but you can also browse more hotels if you would like. As we learn more about you, our accuracy will improve.
Q9. Can I still collect points?
Our discounted rates are typically not eligible for collecting points (SPG, HHonors, Marriott…). However, hotels should still honor your status! Simply enter in your rewards number in the special requests section or chat with an agent - and we will make sure it is on file.
Q10. Can you get me a free upgrade?
Usually! We have deep relationships with most hotels. We will call the hotel the morning of your stay to try and negotiate a free upgrade.
Q11. Can you help me find an airbnb?
Right now - we only support hotels. However, if we believe that airbnb is your best option - we will tell you.
